My Gaiman stash, in no particular order. :)
Not pictured is my copy of Neverwhere, that I lent out and never got back and the rest of the Sandman, that I have taken out of the library and reread several times, but do not own.

Out of curiosity ...
I just finished reading American Gods for the second time (it took more than one time to perfectly understand it, no?). And I cried. I know I’m a cry-baby, but I really find Shadow and Laura’s relationship really touching, and hurtful.
So. Is there any particular Gaiman’s story that touched you deeply? Or maybe further, changed your life?

"People believe, thought Shadow. It’s what people do. They believe, and then they do not take responsibility for their beliefs; they conjure things, and do not trust the conjuration. People populate the darkness; with ghost, with gods, with electrons, with tales. People imagine, and people believe; and it is that rock solid belief, that makes things happen."
